President, Corporate Payment Systems
Kurt Adams is president of U.S. Bank’s Corporate Payment Systems business and has executive management responsibility for the overall strategy, vision and operations of CPS. This business issues corporate, government, purchasing, fleet and aviation cards, as well as business-to-business payment solutions which generate more than $45 billion in processed annual sales volume and nearly $600 million in revenue. The organization consists of approximately 1000 staff members in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Prior to his current position, Kurt was the senior strategy & product officer responsible for strategy, product, corporate development and profitability for the overall business.
Kurt joined U.S. Bank in June 2005 and based in Dublin, Ireland led the Strategy & Planning for Elavon’s merchant acquiring division. During his tenure in Europe, Kurt led the successful acquisition of the Citibank’s European merchant services business.
Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Kurt was member of Piper Jaffray & Co.’s investment banking group based in Minneapolis, MN and managed its Financial Technology & Services (FTS) related mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and the private placement of equity and debt securities.
Kurt is a graduate of Arizona State University (B.A.), and The University of Notre Dame (M.B.A.).
Kurt is a board member of Elavon Financial Services, LTD, a Dublin, Ireland based wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bank. In addition, he is a board member of the MN Zoo Board of Trustees.
