Managing Director, Global Commercial Payments
Alejandro joined Barclaycard as MD for Global Commercial Payments in August 2013 in London. Prior to that Alejandro spent the last five years at JPMorgan in Treasury Services as Managing Director. First three years in New York as the executive for Global Commercial Card, Corporate PrePaid and Healthcare Products and the last two years he was the Latin America product Executive for Transaction Services.
Before joining JPMorgan, Alejandro spent six years at Bank of America, where he led the Small Business Deposit Products business; he was also Senior Vice President of Strategy and Payments. Prior to this, he spent 3 years at McKinsey & Company, advising payment providers and financial institutions on a broad range of strategic issues and geographies.
Originally from Uruguay, Alejandro holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Duke University; he has worked in the US, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Alejandro is married with three children, and relocated to the UK during summer of 2013.
